It all began as a hobby making cutting boards out of Corian®. These gifts for family and friends turned into something that has taken on a shape of its own. It started with cats and apples, and now, footballs. After obtaining material from the renovation of University of Alabama’s Bryant Hall, the football design was created. This set in motion Specialty Sports Design patented football design. It is very important that I make known the football’s design was my wife’s idea.

Each piece is a handcrafted, one of a kind, work of art, created and made by me, David Zarzaur. There’s no assembly line and no mass production. The football is truly a hand-sculpted piece. It is unlike any other sports collectible you could ever own. The football weighs about 10 pounds, with dimension of 8 inches tall, 13 inches wide and 2 inches thick. It is truly a remarkable piece. The football is also framed to tap into the “sports wall art” market. The framed football is ½ inch thick. The overall measurements of the framed pieces are 24” X 24”X 1 1/4". The cherry frame is triple matted w/my company’s coins. All pieces come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
